Stories of Tanggramer 3.0: Coffee Zero — Free Coffee, Free Soul

By Tanggram

As the name implies, Stories of Tanggramer is our special edition to tell stories of Tanggram’s customers and merchants all across Australia after they joined Tanggram.

Today the story is special. It is about appreciation and giving back to our communities.

Last Friday, Victoria recorded its seventh straight day of zero new cases of coronavirus and no deaths after an almost four-month lockdown. Melbournians are too good to be rewarded with relative freedom.

Tanggram decided to launch the not-for-profit campaign “Coffee Zero” in Melbourne.

“After more than 100 days of lockdown in Melbourne, everyone deserves a free coffee. It is not just about celebration, it is more about showing appreciation and giving back. A cup of free coffee might be a bit too small compared with the sacrifices we have made. But coffee is the soul of our life in Melbourne. And I believe that every cup of coffee has a story — where we fall and where we re-start from.” says Nick, the CEO of Tanggram and the promoter of “Coffee Zero”.

Coffee is the soul of Melbourne life

It is safe to say Australian coffee is among the best in the world. As the Coffee Capital of Australia, it is almost impossible to not meet the fresh aroma of Flat White in Melbourne. Melbournians love their coffee. According to one study conducted by the Mccrindle, three in four Australians (75%) enjoy at least one cup of coffee per day, and of those, 28% have three or more cups per day. Tracing the history of Melbourne’s vibrant coffee culture, it began innocently enough in Florentines restaurant on Bourke Street where the first espresso machine found its home in 1901. But now it is hard to find a corner in the city that doesn’t have a café on it. You can even come across coffee addicts from all walks of life and have a chat with them in such a small café at the corner. One cup of coffee at a time.

For Melbourne, the cafe culture is one of the reasons of it being the melting pot of cultures. And the coffee is the symbol and the soul of our Melbourne life. After three months of really constrained activity in Melbourne, we need to enjoy our lives and have a cup of “free” coffee.

How to Coffee Zero?
