Stories of Tanggramer 11.0: Make every bite worthy for a Taste

As the name implies, Stories of Tanggramer is our special edition to tell stories of Tanggram’s customers and merchants all across Australia after they joined Tanggram.
During the pandemic, Tanggram introduced the Group Buy function in the app to support our merchants to generate more sales through our channel. We do not want to simply list their products and advertise them to our users, but we would like to build connections between our merchants and users.
I believe that many people are not unfamiliar with Fine Dining. This form inherits the delicate and romantic art of food in Europe but also brings the excellence of food and unlimited creativity of cooking to the extreme.
Today the story is about Food Laboratory Melbourne. The restaurant was founded by three Chinese chefs, Louis, Davy, and Jason, who has worked in Australia’s best fine dining restaurants.
They believe that food does not only pass love, but it’s also a kind of artistic expression; the treatment of cuisine should be treated with the same excellence as science!
When it comes to why they wanted to open such a food laboratory, Louis told us that the opportunity that arose during the pandemic made them more purposeful and determined in doing their own business. They hope that through the valuable knowledge they have learned in the top restaurants over the years, they can integrate them into their own ways of cooking and make the kind of food they want to present to everyone.
Since many people are no longer able to enjoy fine dining at restaurants during the pandemic, the chefs want to make fine dining off the table and bring it home.
Their goal is to let people eat the most authentic and exquisite cuisine at home even during the pandemic. This is where the idea for the name Food Laboratory comes from.
After so many years of experience, they believe that cooking itself comes from life. They want consumers to know more about where the ingredients come from and why they are used, the chefs want to treat their food as a science.
At Food Laboratory Melbourne, Davy is responsible for new fish dishes and seafood dishes; Jason is responsible for pasta-making and sauce preparation, and Louis is mainly responsible for the dessert and cake part of the job. In this way, the three guys have their own roles, collaborate together to support the dream to open up this culinary laboratory.
Louis told us that he wants to convey the concept of healthy cooking and fine preparation for every dish.
“Fine Dining is all about food security and freshness of ingredients. If a chef makes a dish, every process should be standardized as much as possible. Sometimes Chinese food is prepared with the right amount of ingredients in the recipe, based on the chef’s experience. This is basically not the case in Fine Dining. The chefs who make Fine Dining will try to standardize so that every diner tastes the same quality of flavor.”
“We want everyone to eat healthy and well even during the pandemic! As we said at the beginning, we approach our cuisine with the same philosophy of excellence as we do with science. It’s very important and food security is a top priority”, says Louis.
“We hope our customers can feel our sincerity and lean when they eat, everything we make is made of real ingredients and it takes a lot of time to prepare and pack, every serve of food is a heavy heart.” Chef Jason told us.
Make every bite worthy for a taste and bring every customer joy. This is both a respect for food and the most original pursuit of deliciousness.
The faith does not only exist in making food, but it’s the truth to treat our lives. Tanggram believes no matter what we share with people, maybe a product, a piece of advice, or a way of growing our wealth, we keep our ingenuity and sincerity, until we saw dreams turn into wealth.
